Claire Tyner White is the head of Owl Creek Eventing as well as the manager of Brookstone Farm, which is home to her eventing program. She specializes in creating a positive, family friendly atmosphere that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and whole-horse care as primary objectives. Her program is active in showing in local schooling shows as well as USEA recognized events across the southeast.

Claire is a USPC graduate H, and acquired much of her riding, teaching, and horse management skills through the pony club program. She is also a graduate of Hope College (Holland, MI) with a degree in Sports Medicine, which she practiced full time for a few years before returning to her passion of riding and teaching.

Claire is a mom to a human baby as of 2018, but will always stand by the fact that her horses were her first babies. She loves the process of starting horses and bringing them through the levels of eventing, and always has a few that she is actively competing. Claire continues to push the boundaries of her knowledge and comfort zone by regularly training with other upper level riders. She spends her winters in Ocala, FL based out of the beautiful Three Stone South, which she co-owns with Lauren Romanelli.

Like many, she dreams of authoring a book one day, but still prefers riding over writing. In the mean time, she dabbles with her [very] occasional blog at A Journey for Justice.

WHO WE ARE

Owl Creek Eventing is made up of a quirky group of young women seeking to improve our riding ability and become better humans in the process. We each have our own path and own goals - some include goals of competing at top levels one day, while some of us prefer to keep it local and low level. Some of us have our own horses, while others of us lease or just ride occasionally. We love to have a great time while continuing to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone. But above anything else, we are a group of people who love our horses a whole lot, and want to learn as much as these noble creatures can teach us.

THREE STONE SOUTH

Three Stone South is the combined programs of Claire at Brookstone Farm and Lauren Romanelli’s Three Ring Farm. We love supporting each other all year, but we officially join forces during the winter season, when we move down to our own Farm in Ocala, FL. We love the easy access to top XC courses and the ease of a show β€œaround the corner” every weekend - a luxury we definitely don’t have in Nashville. We use the winter season to compete and to train with other upper level riders, and specifically our coach and neighbor, Karl Slezak. We have also loved the ability to bring our clients and their horses down to experience all the opportunities that Ocala has to offer: multiple pristine xc courses, weekly schooling shows, and weekly recognized events. The completion of WEC Golden Ocala in 2021 has also been an amazing addition to the area and our schedule. We also love to offer experiences outside the eventing β€œbox” - riding at the beach, swimming with horses, watching Grand Prix jumpers, and more!
